Science First. Veterans First.
AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd. is a veteran-led, federally registered non-profit organization focused on improving mental health outcomes for veterans and first responders through research, education, advocacy, and partnership.
We believe Canada needs a responsible, evidence-based pathway for veteran participation in emerging mental health research, including psychedelic-assisted clinical trials.
We also believe this work must be done carefully, legally, ethically, and transparently.

What AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd Is Not
AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd is not:
- A treatment provider

- A seller or distributor of psychedelic substances
- An organization providing medical advice
- An organization encouraging illegal substance use
- An organization guaranteeing treatment outcomes
Our Position on Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
Psychedelic-assisted therapies remain an emerging area of clinical research.
Early studies have shown promise for some treatment-resistant mental health conditions, including PTSD and depression. However, further research is still needed to better understand safety, effectiveness, long-term outcomes, risks, limitations, and which individuals may benefit most.
AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd supports responsible research.
AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd does not claim that psychedelic-assisted therapies are proven cures.
AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd does not promote access outside legal, medical, or research pathways.
Our Focus
AfterGlo is working to support the development of Canadian clinical research pathways for veterans and first responders living with PTSD, operational stress injuries, depression, moral injury, and related treatment-resistant conditions.
Our current focus is on building support for a veteran-focused clinical trial pilot involving:
- Academic research partners
- Qualified clinicians
- Research ethics oversight
- Health Canada authorization where required
- Proper screening and informed consent
- Clinical monitoring and follow-up
- Veteran-centred outcome measures
Why Clinical Trials Matter
Clinical trials help answer the questions that matter most:
- Is it safe?
- Does it help?
- Who may benefit?
- What are the risks?
- What supports are required?
- What should future policy be based on?
Veterans are not asking Canada to bypass science.
Veterans are asking Canada to support the research needed to determine what works.
Compliance and Oversight
Any future clinical trial supported by AfterGlo would be expected to proceed only through appropriate legal, ethical, and regulatory pathways.
This may include:
